So as I gave my sermon this morning and listened to Ben McLennan, our MC USA director, speak before we started something came to me. Once we come to know Christ and follow after God it is possibly to not mess up and live Sinless. If we can go a moment sinless, can't we go another? If we live moment by moment and not worry so much about what's coming, but where we're at, then we can accomplish this. In Genesis 4:6-7 The Bible Says: 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
We CAN master it! Go after it! Follow hard after God to get closer to him, and this will force the sins out. As in the Love chapter it says "when perfection comes the imperfect disappears". We can achieve this! God said it from the beginning! Thank God we can get closer to him and get rid of the sin in our lives! I challenge you to try and live by the moment and live the sinless life!

Nice passion in this post! I am a senior at Southeastern University in Lakeland and our President, Mark Rutland, once said "The Holy Spirit doesn't make sinning impossible, it makes not sinning possible." I agree with what you said that we have a moment by moment responsibility to make decisions of integrity in our lives.
I do admire the sentiments here Adam! I always think about Job when I think about the struggle of a man against sin. He was able to pursue God such that He(God) was boasting on him, but at the same time he was not beyond the need to repent if you can remember.
Something that sort of contrary to this is Galatians 2:15-21. I know that it is not possible for me (or anyone) to live a sinless life because if it were possible then Christ wouldn't need to have died for the world, but at the same time we can lead blameless lives. That is differing from "sinless" in that we will sin, but by knowing our brokenness in that sin and accepting the free gift Jesus gave us we are made as He was to His Father. How good it is!! Praise God!
God Bless you Adam!

Benjamin, thank you for your comment.
Now I can agree with you, but also in Galatians 2:21 it says "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" I take this as saying we do not gain righteousness through the law but through the Holy Spirit which was sent upon the believers after the ascension of Christ. I know we are all sinners and no one can live a sinless life, but who is to say that we cannot get to a point in Christ, meaning after we accept him as Lord and Savior of our life, where we get so close to him that our life no longer falls into sin?
I would say that the grace extends that far, and now I think I understand what you were talking about. Our lives aren't our own anymore, and the change that occurs in us isn't always something that we pursue. Were you talking about believers being sanctified as they go on through life?
I would love it if we could be made such, as His followers. I know we will be holy like He was holy one day, but I don't believe we could be made perfect in this life because we are bound to imperfect things right now (such as imperfect bodies and minds). We are yet to be judged, but thankfully the measure of our life *isn't* how well we can manage on our own (not anymore). I only spoke up about this out of my confusion of your meaning. I think I am reading you loud and clear. God bless you! Seek Christ!
